A Day at the Museum

February 05, 2017

One of the great pleasures of visiting Bryan, Texas, is the opportunity to see and experience the wonders of nature first hand. In addition to the lush bike trails and clear, cool evenings perfect for stargazing, we recommend a trip to the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History, where you can learn a bit about what makes our little area of the world so special. The museum boasts a wide array of galleries, which include Native American art, tools, and pottery; antique agricultural and land-survey equipment; live-animal and taxidermy exhibits; and fossils from as far back as 9500 B.C. You can also see important artifacts from the Texas War of Independence and other seminal events in the history of the Republic of Texas. Fun for kids and adults, the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History will give you an even greater appreciation for the beauty that flourishes all around you during your stay here in central Texas.
